First Day Editing Blog


 Today was our first day of editing. Whenever I edit something I always get nervous, but, excited. I get nervous that I'm going to mess something up or it's not gonna come out the way I envisioned it. However, I also get excited because I love seeing all the hard work come together. Today I decided that I wanted to take matters into my own hands and edit it myself. Together my group and I agreed to work on iMovie. I pulled out my phone and added in all the shots that I liked from our filming into my iMovie. Then I confirmed with my group members on the song choice for the commercial. I added the song and then clipped everything to make it the correct amount of time. I was worried at first that it was going to be too long. The shots we filmed were very long and had to be cropped. Before anything was done it was about a minute long. I didn't think I was going to be able to make it the actual length it needed to be. It ended up being 28 seconds without the logo ending. To clip it I speeded up some shots. Also I cut some of the shots short. It made things look a lot cleaner and it seemed more like an actual ad length wise. Next editing day I expect to finish the commercial. I will add in the logo and slogan. I will also put in any transitions and make sure the music matches the scene, perfecting the commercial.

I dislike change a lot. However, I know that it is always coming. That's why having a backup plan is always a good idea. My opening sequences is supposed to be with my friend victor in it. Sad story short we are no longer friends. This changed many parts of my daily life because that was my bestfriend. We we're always together and most days it was only us two doing everything. At first I was a little stressed about this because not only was he one of my bestfriends but he was also the lead role for this project. I was sad about losing one of my closest friends but at the end of the day you have to get up and take charge of your responsibility. Movie Convection: All the bright places

 The film all the bright places released in 2020 was very unique. Based off the book the movie is a teenage love story. This movie is not like others because it’s a teenage love story revolving mental health. Although many other movies are similar when mentioning health, this movie is all about it. Throughout the whole movie it contains clues and hints of their mental health. I adore the character development in this movie because it’s not an obvious thing that it will end the way it does. It leaves the audience at a shock. It includes characters getting better with their own mental health while the other gets worse. They fall for each other but it doesn’t last because the male commits suicide. I honestly can’t complain about any of the elements in the film. They all come together very nicely.       Blogging is not one thing that I ever expected to do, however, now that I believe I'm doing it correctly I've gotten a little bit of stress off my shoulders. I'm Nylamarie Belle and I'm in 10th grade. As a little kid I was always told I had a crazy imagination. If one were to ask my mom she would say I was reading by around the age of 4. I would go through several books a day enlarging my thoughts and asking questions about everything; I always wanted to know more. I currently don't 100% know what I'm doing in life as of right now.
