Summer Lovin

Image
Summer lovin is finshed! Yet it's only the beginning. I'm still so shocked that this is my last project for this class. I had so much fun doing all the different projects and learning more about the film world. Hopefully, I take this class again soon so that I can continue on this path but also learn more than what I know now. Down below is my finished product of my opening sequence.

Film Review

I finished my last project! The school year has gone by so quickly. I feel like just yesterday I did my first blog. Once I finished this project the first person I wanted to show it to was my step-dad. I feel like he's always very honest with me when it comes to stuff including the area that I want to continue in as a lifestyle. For example when I started on social media he always encouraged me to post acting things. I  went to show him my opening sequence as soon as I got it to my liking. He seemed pretty impressed. Then he said that it was really good. He told me that he thinks I have made a lot of improvements compared to my first project. I agree, since I have been working on making my projects better each time. He then gave me some suggestions. I was told to trim some of the shots at the beginning to make the walking look more natural. I also changed the area of where I put some of my titles. He also suggested that I changed some of my transitions so that the product will loo

Reesie's redo's

Today I refilmed the beginning shots. I basically redid the whole first 12 shots. I did this because the scene's we did with Joelyz did not match up since he had on different shoes the first time. It was a little hard to get him to agree to it this time. Especially since he felt his feet looked bad. The first scene when he steps out of the shower it shows his feet a little. I feel like today's generation has made a very big deal about feet looking a specific way. I know that sounds funny but it's honestly true. We hold such a high beauty standard for things that we can't change without surgery. He wanted to do his own thing instead of helping me. Which isn't a surprise since he is a teenage boy. Dontae came over today too. He asked me how the project was going and actually seemed like he felt bad for not being in it. He said the day's I wanted him to come over he was out of town. Even though I feel like he could've told me that when I was asking him to come

Editing realization

Editing on the computer is not something I like. I thought it would be easier but having everything mobile is so much easier. Having to transfer everything is such a hassle. Then it's harder to know what to do. Everything I know is different on my phone. To make things go smoother I'm going to edit everything on my phone. iMovie is what I know. I decided I don't want to take the risk of messing up my film right now. So I added my clips from downtown. I didn't add the earlier shots I got of my brother since I still have to redo them. Then I ordered everything in which I thought it should go. I also cut out anything I didn't like. When I refilm the stuff with my brother then I'll cut everything to get the exact time that I need. Eventually I'll add the music and lay everything together. Then I'll do everything that I can to make it good. In hopes that it's exactly how I envisioned. When I'm done I'll show everything to a few people and get rev

Downtown!

Today we filmed! I had to work today so I couldn't film to early. Thankfully the sun sets at a later time now so we got to get in a few shots. I had my brother call Joelyz this morning to see if she could come over. Later after work I got a message from her Mom. She told me that Joelyz could come over for a little so that we could film whatever we needed to with her. I was glad that I finally got the time to film with everyone that I needed. Later around 5 Joelyz came over to our house. Reese took awhile getting ready but eventually we left almost at 6! We walked down the street, onto a sidewalk that I thought looked nice. At first it was fun because of the little jokes we slipped in while we were working. Then it got a little aggravating because there started to be too many jokes and not enough work being done. Especially when it came time for my brothers to say their lines. Reese got a little camera shy and Tristan couldn't stop giggling. Then I got irritated and wanted to ju
