CCR Blog

  1.       How does your product use or challenge conventions AND how does it represent social groups or issues? Our product shows the daily activities of different groups of people. Showing a point of view from students to active people and people just searching for some entertainment. It represents people from all different social groups and how they find the product helpful.   2.) How does your product engage with audiences AND how would it be distributed as a real media text? Our product engages with the audience by stating things people will normally do on an average day. This shows how multiple of the apple products can be used consistently by different groups of people. No matter what their average day looks like at least one of the products can be used to help or entertain in a way. 3.)  How did your production skills develop throughout this project? Overall, starting my project I felt as if I had somewhat of an experience from things I have done in the past. A few year

Commercial blog

Working with my group was a very fun experience. We joked around and still got it done. In the end we came out with a great commercial. In the final product I did see things we could've improved on. This will only make room for improvement for future projects. I'm proud of my team and I and the commercial we created together. I think that we really used our skills to project what we know about. I'm excited to do my next project and see how much I have improved.

2nd day editing blog

Today was our final edit day! I used Imovie to edit our commercial. I added the begging instrumental of I need a hero to it. I had to download the song from youtube through an app called documents. From there I shared it to Imovie. Also I had to align the song so that certain parts would go with certain shots. That's the song my group and I wanted to use from the beginning. It ended up being a very good song selection. I sped up some clips to make sure the commercial was at the length it was supposed to be. Then I added the agreed apple logo to the end to show off the brand of our commercial. I also ended up taking out a lot of things. Maybe a little more then I expected. Much of the shots were unnecessary and didn't make sense since we resulted to our back up. At first I was nervous that I wouldn't make it thirty seconds but I made it work. I added the words on the screen on what the products can do. I took that idea from the actual apple commercials that I seen when I wa

First Day Editing Blog

Today was our first day of editing. Whenever I edit something I always get nervous, but, excited. I get nervous that I'm going to mess something up or it's not gonna come out the way I envisioned it. However, I also get excited because I love seeing all the hard work come together. Today I decided that I wanted to take matters into my own hands and edit it myself. Together my group and I agreed to work on iMovie. I pulled out my phone and added in all the shots that I liked from our filming into my iMovie. Then I confirmed with my group members on the song choice for the commercial. I added the song and then clipped everything to make it the correct amount of time. I was worried at first that it was going to be too long. The shots we filmed were very long and had to be cropped. Before anything was done it was about a minute long. I didn't think I was going to be able to make it the actual length it needed to be. It ended up being 28 seconds without the logo ending. To clip

2nd day film blog

Our second day of filming I couldn't come to school. I had to go to the eye doctor. My mom works there so she had time to take me but didn't have time to take me back. I went on my normal check up and found out I needed new glasses. I brought my laptop and some of my books to do any make up work. I was writing a to do list of the assignments I needed to do when Melvin called me. He asked me about the last few shots we had to do. Also about what our plan would be since I was not there. The only thing that really had to be done was the apple watch shots. So I told them the backup idea I had incase there was a day I wasn't there. They began to shoot and did switch up somethings that were harder to do since there was only two people. I went over the storyboard with them on the phone. Afterward I received everything that they shot. I looked through all the shots they did and picked the ones I thought looked the best. Soon I will begin putting them together and editing them. I
