 Scene 1

Box 1- Rachel at the check out counter with an Mis

Box 2- Asks cashier for price

Box 3- Cashier takes onion and checks price 

Box 4- Rachel says she can’t afford it

Box 5- Cashier doesn’t care, go to another place 

Box 6- Rachel gets frustrated and leaves

Scene 2

Box 1- Rachel goes home and puts stuff down on the counter

Box 2- Mom gets off the coach and walks towards her

Box 3- Mom ask Rachel where’s she has been showing concern

Box 4- Rachel Denys her mothers concerns, and begins to speak 

Box 5- Mom cuts Rachel off to ask about the onion

Box 6- Rachel says she didn’t get it and gives her mom a dollar

Scene 3

Box 1- The mom starts getting pissed off, gets verbally aggressive 

Box 2- Rachel starts to walk away

Box 3- Mom follows still yelling

Box 4- Rachel annoyed ended up yelling back at her mom

Box 5- Rachel gets a phone finding out her mom died while Marley is yelling at her

Box 6- Marley noticed she isn’t listening, asking her if she was listening and Marley tells her that her mom died

Our genre decision

   We decided that a Drama film was the appropriate genre that matched our pitch. A drama matches a specific criteria,  that we want to meet so it would be easier to incorporate different things into the opening sequence without it being considered unorganized. The music is also a choice that we can make, with the proper permission. Seeing as we can use a song with or without words because both tend to be normal for those kinds of blogs, whether it be spooky or calm and relaxed, or even intense. The costuming and acting is entirely off of what we decide to make our story about. Drama is honestly the simplest and easiest to work with. Out other two choices were coming of age and comedy. We can easily incorporate both if those into a drama and kill three birds with one stone. At first we felt as if it would be hard to try and incorporate all of that into one sequence but we realized that if we did drama, we wouldn’t even have to incorporate “all” of anything. Comparing 9, The Short, and 9, The Full Length Movie

 In 9 the short film, the plot was very straightforward. It didn't really entail many abnormal distinct features that added to plot. There was very limited character development. In relation to the characters, we didn't see much of the main character "9" opinion or character. Regardless, the maker did an amazing job with the character distinction with the time given. The viewer was able to identify the main protagonist and antagonist with those simple ten minutes. In addition there was a clear beginning middle and end. The main antagonist was able to be portrayed in the correct manner with the limited amount of viewing given. This is something that is extremely difficult to do with the genre and time given but the plot and character roles were very identifiable.  In 9 the full- length film, the plot was taken in a completely different direction. First Day Editing Blog

 Today was our first day of editing. Whenever I edit something I always get nervous, but, excited. I get nervous that I'm going to mess something up or it's not gonna come out the way I envisioned it. However, I also get excited because I love seeing all the hard work come together. Today I decided that I wanted to take matters into my own hands and edit it myself. Together my group and I agreed to work on iMovie. I pulled out my phone and added in all the shots that I liked from our filming into my iMovie. Then I confirmed with my group members on the song choice for the commercial. I added the song and then clipped everything to make it the correct amount of time. I was worried at first that it was going to be too long. The shots we filmed were very long and had to be cropped. Before anything was done it was about a minute long. I didn't think I was going to be able to make it the actual length it needed to be. It ended up being 28 seconds without the logo ending.
