2nd day editing blog


 Today was our final edit day! I used Imovie to edit our commercial. I added the begging instrumental of I need a hero to it. I had to download the song from youtube through an app called documents. From there I shared it to Imovie. Also I had to align the song so that certain parts would go with certain shots. That's the song my group and I wanted to use from the beginning. It ended up being a very good song selection. I sped up some clips to make sure the commercial was at the length it was supposed to be. Then I added the agreed apple logo to the end to show off the brand of our commercial. I also ended up taking out a lot of things. Maybe a little more then I expected. Much of the shots were unnecessary and didn't make sense since we resulted to our back up. At first I was nervous that I wouldn't make it thirty seconds but I made it work. I added the words on the screen on what the products can do. I took that idea from the actual apple commercials that I seen when I was doing research. I added in transitions. With Imovie the whole editing process was simple. I enjoyed doing this project. Being the editor I got to see my idea come together very well. I can't wait to do more like this and watch my improvement.

Our genre decision

   We decided that a Drama film was the appropriate genre that matched our pitch. A drama matches a specific criteria,  that we want to meet so it would be easier to incorporate different things into the opening sequence without it being considered unorganized. The music is also a choice that we can make, with the proper permission. Seeing as we can use a song with or without words because both tend to be normal for those kinds of blogs, whether it be spooky or calm and relaxed, or even intense. The costuming and acting is entirely off of what we decide to make our story about. Drama is honestly the simplest and easiest to work with. Out other two choices were coming of age and comedy. Comparing 9, The Short, and 9, The Full Length Movie

 In 9 the short film, the plot was very straightforward. It didn't really entail many abnormal distinct features that added to plot. There was very limited character development. In relation to the characters, we didn't see much of the main character "9" opinion or character. Regardless, the maker did an amazing job with the character distinction with the time given. The viewer was able to identify the main protagonist and antagonist with those simple ten minutes. In addition there was a clear beginning middle and end. The main antagonist was able to be portrayed in the correct manner with the limited amount of viewing given.  Together my group and I have decided to do an apple commercial. The audience will see the many ways different apple products can be used throughout our daily lives. They will also see how large the impact apple products have on many people in this generation. Also how they not only entertain yet are capable of helping out in many situations. -Clothes depending on the scene are usually casual clothes or athletic clothes since the products are not only used for a specific event.  -Props include APPLE cellphones (iphone), Laptops (macbooks),bluetooth headphones(airpods), and watches (apple watch) -The music through the commercial changes from a slow sweet nature like sounds to a high pace song to get people's attention and to feel the quick actions in the commercial  1.)
